With over 12 lakh takers this year, AIEEE came with no surprises. It was on the same lines as most of us had expected. Unlike IIT JEE, there were apparently no mistakes in the AIEEE question paper.
The overall level of difficulty could be termed as average. Mathematics will be the deciding factor for students who are aiming for higher rank as it was the toughest of all the sections.

Number of Seats
As per latest data, there are 20 NITs, 5 IIITs, 20 Self-financed deemed universities, 10 central government/state government funded institutions and some other state level top engineering colleges participate in AIEEE for filling up their seats. Approximately, over 23,500 seats are offered through AIEEE exam. In addition, the MHRD has decided to open 10 new NITs at Goa, Puducherry, Delhi, Uttrakhand, Mizoram, Meghalya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
