About IBSAT

ICFAI Business Studies Aptitude Test or IBSAT is a common aptitude test to seek admission in management course at ICFAI Business School. ICFAI Business School is the management Institute of ICFAI University. The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University, Dehradun, Uttaranchal is a UGC (University Grants Commission) recognized University that represents the multi-state network of universities, sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India in Uttaranchal, Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Mizoram under respective legislations. The University confers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees to eligible students subject to the University Regulations.

Test Pattern

IBSAT is based on GMAT format with multiple choice questions and tests your abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. IBSAT is usually of 2 hour duration.

Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi conducts an entrance exam for admission to its full time MBA programs: MBA & MBA(MS). FMS-DU started in 1954 and since then is a premium institute for management education in India. It is constantly ranked amongst the top ten B-Schools of India. Therefore getting admission in its MBA program is considered to be highly prestigious for a management aspirant.

FMS has affiliations with the top universities of the world like University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and University of Trinidad. FMS is located in the North Campus of University of Delhi and also has its own premise in South Campus. It conducts its own entrance test for admission to its MBA programs. Candidates who clear the written test are then called for Personal Interview and General Discussion after which the final selection is done.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree  or equivalent from a recognized institute. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply. In addition a candidate should have also got a minimum percentage in Graduation according to their field of graduation:

* Medicine, Engineering and Technology:  CGPA of 6 on 10 or 60 percent.
* Science: 55 percent
* Commerce, Arts, and Social Sciences: 50 percent
* Statistics or Mathematics: 60 percent
OR
Post Graduation Degree with atleast 60% marks.
A candidate should be atleast 20 years of age as on 1st October, 2010. There is 5% relaxation in minimum marks required for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Selection Procedure

Candidates who get selected in the written test are called for General Discussion, Extempore and a personal interview. On basis of the score in written test, interview, GD, academic record, work experience etc final selections are made.

How to Apply

The forms for FMS will be available in designated branches of State Bank of India. Candidates can also download the form online through the website www.fms.edu. Candidates can also apply online through the same website and payment can be done through demand draft/credit card.

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a common written test for the admission to all Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University)

It is a mandatory written test for admission into any Post-Graduate programme offered by the Constituent Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). However, it is only the first step. In addition, a candidate has to undergo the selection process of the desired Institute to qualify for the admission to the Post-Graduate programmes of that Institute.

Test Format

SNAP Test consists of 150 objective type questions. Every question lists 4 responses out of which you have to select the right answer. For every wrong answer, 25% marks will be deducted. The duration of SNAP Test is 120 minutes.

Appearing for Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the Post-Graduate Programmes in Management offered by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee to the 2-YEAR FULL TIME Post-Graduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by IISc and the IITs for the academic year beginning July/Aug 2010. Candidates will be required to appear in a single paper of three hours duration.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the various management schools are different in various Institutes. For more details, the candidates are required to contact the Institutes to which they are interested in seeking admission. After qualifying JMET 2010, a candidate has to apply separately to each of the schools / departments of management in various IITs wherein she / he wishes to seek admission.

XAT (XLRI Admissions Test) is the second most popular management entrance exam in India after CAT. XAT is conducted by XLRI (Xavier Labour Research Institute), Jamshedpur, which is one of the TOP 10 B-schools in the country. In addition to XLRI, there are more than 50 management institutes that consider XAT score as one of the criteria for admission into their management programmes.

Candidates have to first register online for XAT on their website (http://www.xlri.edu/xat/) and later apply separately to the institutes associated with XAT, including XLRI. Based on XAT scores, candidates will be short listed for the next round of admission process. Institutes conduct Group discussion and/or Interviews for final short listing of the candidates.

Unlike most of the B-Schools, XLRI conducts only interviews for the candidates short listed in XAT.
XLRI does not conduct Group Discussion as a part of their admission process.
